The RPS Group team has been a leading provider of nuclear safety and risk consultancy services to clients in the UK for over 30 years. They provide core radiological safety assessment services supported with in-house specialist capabilities in Criticality safety, Radiological Shielding assessment, Human Factors, Nuclear Fire and Peer Review from their team of 50 staff.

Job Description:

  • You will work on safety projects across the UK as a Nuclear Safety Assessor. Your focus will be on the preparation of nuclear safety cases and supporting documentation.
  • Deliver fit for purpose safety documentation under supervision from RPS Project Managers and/or clients.
  • Liaise with engineering, plant operators, and other specialist safety disciplines, e.g., Human Factors, Fire, Criticality, Radiological Shielding, Environmental, to present coherent and comprehensive safety cases.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in nuclear safety or other high-hazard industries.
  • A degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, e.g., Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control/Electrical Engineering.
  • Excellent customer service manner with strong listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible approach to support effective delivery.
