About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented German Language Specialist to join our team as a Video Game Tester. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of our games and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough linguistic testing of in-game text to ensure accuracy and correctness
  • Identify and report linguistic bugs and errors using industry-standard bug databases
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure that bugs are fixed and implemented correctly
  • Develop and execute test cases throughout the project life cycle
  • Participate in test requirement gathering to ensure effective testing and support of all features
  • Continuously improve and refine testing processes and techniques
Requirements
  • Expert-level proficiency in German language and culture
  • Strong written and spoken English skills
  • Passion for video games and gaming industry
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Proactive, tenacious, and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality
  • Good computer skills, including word processing, database handling, and record keeping
  • Right to work in the UK
Desirable Skills
  • Previous experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading
  • Working knowledge of CAT tools (MemoQ)
  • Knowledge of video game industry and trends
  • Bachelor's degree in linguistics or related field
