About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented German Language Specialist to join our team as a Video Game Tester. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our games and applications by identifying and reporting linguistic bugs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough testing of in-game text to ensure linguistic accuracy and correctness, as well as cultural relevance.
  • Develop and execute test cases to identify and report bugs, using industry-standard bug databases.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure that bugs are fixed and implemented correctly.
  • Participate in test requirement gathering to ensure that Localisation QA effectively tests and supports all features of the project.
  • Continuously improve and refine testing processes and procedures to ensure the highest quality of our games and applications.
Requirements
  • Expert-level proficiency in German language and culture.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills.
  • Passion for video games and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive and tenacious approach to testing and quality assurance.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
  • Experience with software tools used for LQA testing, such as test case management and text editing tools.
  • Working knowledge of CAT tools, such as MemoQ.
  • Knowledge of the video game industry and trends.
