About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Genetic Counsellor to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our clinical genetics service, you will play a vital role in providing expert genetic counselling and management of complex inherited cardiovascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert genetic counselling to individuals and families affected by inherited cardiovascular conditions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized management plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members.
Requirements
  • MSc in Genetic Counselling or equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive experience in clinical genetics, particularly in inherited cardiovascular conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
