SEN Teacher Assistant with SEMH Specialism

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support due to Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored support to students in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping them overcome challenges and develop their social and emotional skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact on students' lives and contribute to their academic and personal growth.
To succeed in this role, you should have relevant experience supporting students with SEMH or similar SEN needs. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized SEMH support to students in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCo to design and implement personalized strategies.
- Assist students in overcoming barriers to learning, focusing on their social and emotional development.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting support plans as needed.
- Contribute to the positive school culture and values, promoting inclusion and respect.
