Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust to join the Estates team as a Fitter-Plumber.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining continuity of service by undertaking planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, and emergency works in a hospital environment.

About the Role
  • To undertake routine and non-routine maintenance tasks, including statutory checks and repairs to domestic and commercial buildings.
  • To maintain up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and regulations related to building maintenance and health & safety.

The ideal candidate will have experience in plumbing, heating, and ventilation within a hospital or similar environment and possess basic computer skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and repair of plumbing systems, including installation and testing of pipework, valves, and associated equipment.
  • Competent in the use of various hand tools and power tools, such as ladders, mobile elevated working platforms, and scaffold towers.
  • Familiarity with COSHH and Manual Handling procedures.

What We Offer
