Job Description

We're looking for a Nutrition & Restaurant Food Safety Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering our Public Health Strategy and Food Safety priorities, ensuring the safety and quality of our food for customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of our Public Health Strategy, collaborating with Senior Management to ensure alignment of plans, priorities, and implementation.
  • Develop and implement Food Safety systems and processes within our restaurants, working closely with Quality Assurance and Safety & Security teams.
  • Manage a team of 4 across Nutrition and Food Safety, providing guidance, advice, and support in relation to nutritional science and public health messaging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Comms, Marketing, Food Development, Legal, Operations, Supply Chain, and Digital & IT teams.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, serving as a brand ambassador, spokesperson, and business thought partner with external audiences.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of regulatory requirements within the UK and Ireland related to Nutrition, Labelling, Allergens, Food Safety, and Food Law.

Requirements

  • Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related science.
  • HACCP level 3 certification.
  • Extensive experience within the food industry in a nutrition, technical, or regulatory role, driving strategy and large projects.
  • Experience of UK & Ireland (EU) food policy, nutrition policy, and labelling legislation.
