About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mathematics Department Leader to join our team at Five Education Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Mathematics department.

Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (plus TLR and SEN1)

Location: Wakefield

Availability: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Mathematics department to ensure high-quality teaching and learning\
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve student outcomes in Mathematics\
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver curriculum programs\
  • Mentor and support teachers to enhance their practice and achieve their professional goals\
  • Contribute to whole-school decision-making processes and initiatives\
  • Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively\
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, colleges, and other education providers\
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends, research, and best practices in Mathematics education\
  • Support students with special educational needs and abilities\
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes diversity, equity, and social justice\
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge\
  • Contribute to school-wide events, activities, and projects that promote student engagement and well-being\
  • Represent the school at local and regional events, conferences, and meetings
