Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our Children's Home in Malvern. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Comprehensive Care Plans
Ensure each young person has a tailored plan that addresses their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
Develop a Great TeamWork with our recruitment teams to bring in the right people for your home. Complete company induction and personal development plans, retaining a strong team to ensure familiar faces for the young people.
Foster ConsultationDevelop systems to consult young people about the care they receive.
Allocate Key WorkersAssign a Key Worker to each young person to implement their care plan.
Maintain High StandardsEstablish and monitor high-quality care standards in line with the quality standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
Handle Complaints and ConcernsTake responsibility for addressing any complaints or child protection concerns.
Collaborate with StakeholdersWork in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote the welfare of young people.
Participate in MeetingsAttend and contribute to care planning and review meetings as appropriate.
Embrace a Safe CultureEnsure the children in your service are cared for at the best possible standard.
Requirements and Qualifications
Relevant Experience: At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
Qualifications: Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential. Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is preferred at point of application, if not then you must be enrolled on the Level 5 within 6 months of starting in post.
Knowledge: Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
Skills: Efficient in; planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership.
Communication: Confidence in effective spoken and written communication.
Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
Driving License: Full UK required.
