Safeguarding Adult and Mental Capacity Specialist

The Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join their team as a Safeguarding Adult and Mental Capacity Specialist. This exciting opportunity is a key part of the Trust's commitment to safeguarding adults and promoting their well-being.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist advice and guidance on safeguarding adults and mental capacity issues, working closely with colleagues across the Trust to ensure that safeguarding is at the forefront of all our work.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and guidance on safeguarding adults and mental capacity issues to staff across the Trust.
- Develop and implement training and education programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills in safeguarding adults and mental capacity.
- Work closely with the Trust's Safeguarding Adults Team to ensure that safeguarding is embedded in all aspects of our work.
- Conduct reviews and investigations into safeguarding incidents and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partner agencies to ensure effective safeguarding practice.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safeguarding adults and mental capacity, with experience of working in a healthcare setting. They will be a skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
A strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies, including the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act, is essential. The candidate will also have the ability to analyze complex information and make sound judgments, as well as excellent presentation and training skills.
The successful candidate will be committed to the principles of safeguarding adults and mental capacity, with a strong focus on promoting the well-being and dignity of individuals.
