About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Catering Manager to join our client's team at a leading independent boarding school in East Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the catering operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery to up to 1000 covers per day across breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the catering team to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement catering strategies to meet the needs of the school community.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute menus, ensuring dietary requirements are met and nutritional standards are maintained.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and waste management.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and relevant legislation.
