About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy General Manager to join our team at Chartwells - Main. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the overall efficient and effective management of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: You will work closely with our General Catering Manager and Front of House Teams to ensure the smooth operation of our food service units.
  • Supervision and Leadership: You will be responsible for supervising and leading a small team of people, providing guidance and support to ensure they are able to perform their duties to the highest standard.
  • Customer Service: You will be responsible for ensuring that all customer requirements are met, and that our customers receive a high-quality service.
  • Financial Management: You will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our food service operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Quality Assurance: You will be responsible for ensuring that all food is prepared and served to the highest standard, and that our food service operations meet all relevant health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: You will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the conference and banqueting sector.
  • Qualifications: You will have a good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, and hold a basic food hygiene certificate.
  • Skills: You will have strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
