Clinical Psychologist Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Principal Practitioner Psychologist, you will provide leadership and specialist clinical input across our Women's Secure Blended Service (WSBS) at Ardenleigh Hospital.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working with adults with mental health presentation, psychological difficulties, neurodiversity, and complex needs and risks. You will also have a strong leadership role, working alongside the consultant psychologist lead and principal practitioner psychologist to provide leadership to the psychology team, contributing to a culture that is psychologically safe and promotes staff wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and specialist clinical input across the WSBS at Ardenleigh Hospital
- Work with a wide variety of client groups, including adults with mental health presentation, psychological difficulties, neurodiversity, and complex needs and risks
- Contribute to a culture that is psychologically safe and promotes staff wellbeing
- Work alongside the consultant psychologist lead and principal practitioner psychologist to provide leadership to the psychology team
- Provide consultation and advice from a psychological perspective to members of other professional and non-professional groups
- Eligibility for entry onto the Register of Chartered Psychologists
- Post-doctoral training in one or more highly specialist areas of psychological practice/therapy
- Assessed experience of working as a qualified clinical/forensic psychologist for a minimum of 4 years post-qualification, with a minimum of at least 2 years at the Senior (highly specialist) level
- Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, including clients of all ages across the lifespan and of wide-ranging presenting problems that reflect the full spectrum of clinical complexity and severity
- Experience of the application of clinical psychology in different cultural contexts
We offer a competitive salary of £62,215 to £72,293 per annum, pro rata, and a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities, a comprehensive pension scheme, and a generous annual leave entitlement.
