We are seeking a Construction Manager to join our team at UKAEA Special Techniques Group. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the realization of fusion energy. In this role, you will be responsible for managing construction resources, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. You will lead a team of UKAEA staff and external contractors to plan, install, commission, and hand over new plant, equipment, and services at a UKAEA site. Your expertise in construction processes, practices, and industry best-practice will be invaluable in achieving project success. Additionally, your experience in overseeing craft effort contractor management on operational sites will enable you to manage construction and installation contracts effectively. You will also need to maintain the construction phase plan, health and safety file, and ensure all work follows safe systems with effective toolbox talks and required equipment. This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.
