Consultant Psychiatrist Memory Clinic Specialist

About the Role
The Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our established Memory Clinic team at Coltman Street, Hull. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for diagnosing complex cases, formulating treatment plans, and prescribing cognitive enhancers. You will work collaboratively with nursing and psychology services to provide an assessment service for older adults with memory impairments.
Main Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage complex cases of dementia and other memory-related disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication and non-pharmacological interventions
- Work collaboratively with nursing and psychology services to provide a comprehensive assessment service
- Prescribe cognitive enhancers and other medications as needed
- Review CT scan results and inform GPs of any physical health problems

Person Specification
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
- Ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
- Makes decisions based on evidence and experience, including the contribution of others
