We are seeking an exceptional Special Needs Education Professional to join our team at GSL SEN Education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a child with ADHD in a mainstream primary school, fostering trusting relationships through a restorative approach.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs. A sports background or coaching experience would be beneficial, while a sincere interest in understanding mental health and trauma issues is essential.

Key tasks for this role include:

  • Main Objectives:
  • Support the student's learning and development through positive relationships.
  • Help the student understand the value of education and demonstrate this in practical ways.

Applicants should hold a Teaching Assistant Level 2 or equivalent qualification, with a proven track record of supporting children with special educational needs.

We provide comprehensive training and support to ensure your success in this position.

This role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Applicants will undergo enhanced DBS checks before commencing employment.

Predicted Salary: Approximately £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, equating to around £31-£35 per hour.
