Job Description:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Randstad Construction and Property, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of our facilities maintenance projects. You will be responsible for dealing with tender stages, subcontract procurement, and contractual issues, while providing cost advice to our design consultants. Your exceptional negotiation skills and risk management experience will be invaluable assets to our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Dealing with tender stage subcontract and material enquiries.
  2. Assisting with subcontract procurement, agreement, payment, and award.
  3. Attending meetings, contributing, and taking minutes as required.
  4. Preparing valuations, agreeing amounts for payment, and ensuring invoices are prepared and issued.
  5. Re-measuring work using site measurement and drawings.
  6. Informing sub-contractors of contract variations.
  7. Dealing with contractual issues from a commercial perspective.
  8. Provision of cost advice to Design Consultants.
  9. Assisting with reporting on contract performance via monthly cost/value reconciliations.
  10. Agreeing client and subcontract final accounts.


Requirements:
  • Procurement experience.
  • Measurement (NRM/SMM).
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Risk Management experience.
  • Valuation of change.
  • Interim & Final valuations.
  • Cost/ Value Reconciliation.
  • Forecasting.
  • Valid CSCS card (desirable).
  • Valid driving licence.
