Job Title: Nuclear Facility Maintenance Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Nuclear Facility Maintenance Lead to join our team at National Nuclear Laboratory. As a Nuclear Facility Maintenance Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and compliant operation of our nuclear facilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of technicians in performing maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinating resources and planning schedules.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Monitoring and controlling maintenance activities.
  • Developing and implementing maintenance plans.
  • Coordinating with external contractors and suppliers.

Essential Criteria:

  • Mechanical Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Thorough awareness of nuclear, conventional safety, and security requirements applicable to their area of responsibility.
  • Experience in supervising operations within a nuclear plant environment.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to convey key information to stakeholders.
  • Able to make conservative decisions even in pressure situations.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of operational & maintenance requirements.
  • Evidence of self-motivation, drive, energy, and resilience.
  • Requirement to become appointed as Task Supervisor and Sub Contractor Supervisor.
  • Able to obtain DV level security clearance.

  • Effective leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate complex projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering results.

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
