We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Engineering Degree Apprenticeship program at Rolls-Royce plc. As an NDT apprentice, you will play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for technical excellence.
The starting salary for this position is £20,735 per year, with annual pay rises and the opportunity to earn up to £28,000 after four years. You will also receive fully sponsored BEng (Hons) NDT Degree and internationally recognised NDT qualifications.
In this apprenticeship, you will gain hands-on experience in various NDT methods, including X-rays (radiography), ultrasonics, eddy currents, magnetic particle inspection, and fluorescent penetrant inspection. You will work with expert mentors to develop your practical and theoretical knowledge of these techniques.
This apprenticeship offers a unique blend of academic studies and on-the-job training. You will study for a BEng (Hons) NDT Degree at the University of Northampton while working on real-world projects, developing your skills in project planning, resource control, problem-solving, and gaining technical know-how.
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you should have three GCSEs that include Maths and Physics at grade 6/B and English Language at grade 5/B. Alternatively, you can have a Level 3 Extended BTEC Diploma in an Engineering-related subject (including Further Maths element) at DDM.
You will also need to demonstrate creativity, an agile approach, attention to detail, and self-motivation to deliver on project work. The apprenticeship includes a competitive pension, 33 days' holiday per year, and continuous learning and development opportunities.
