Bristol, Bristol, United Kingdom Rolls-Royce plc Full time
Role Overview

You'll work as a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) specialist at Rolls-Royce, where you'll help maintain the company's reputation for technical excellence. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about physics and maths, with a strong interest in developing skills in X-rays, ultrasonics, eddy currents, magnetic particle inspection, and fluorescent penetrant inspection.

The NDT apprenticeship will provide hands-on experience, on-the-job training, and support to gain industry-recognised qualifications. Your Responsibilities

You'll be trained to lead technical projects, work with expert mentors, and develop problem-solving skills. Your role will involve selecting optimal NDT methods, conducting tests on parts, and participating in practical experiments, project planning, resource control, and quality assessment techniques.

During your apprenticeship, you'll complete various placements across the business, which will give you practical experience in different NDT methods. Additionally, you'll study for a BEng (Hons) NDT Degree at the University of Northampton, focusing on the Maths, Electronics, and Physics behind NDT methods.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must have three GCSEs, including Maths and Physics at grade 6/B, English Language at grade 5/B, or a Level 3 Extended BTEC Diploma in an Engineering-related subject. Creative thinking, attention to detail, and self-motivation are also essential qualities required for this position.

Benefits

This role offers a competitive starting salary of £20,735 per year, annual pay rises, a fully sponsored BEng (Hons) NDT Degree, and internationally recognised NDT qualifications. You'll also receive a choice of voluntary benefits, continuous learning and development opportunities, and support from managers, leaders, mentors, and other apprentices.
