About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Technician to join our team at the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism (OCDEM), Churchill Hospital. The successful candidate will be based in the Human Islet Isolation Facility and will play a key role in the UK Nationwide Human Islet Isolation programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in human pancreatic islet isolation and transplantation
  • Conduct research under the supervision of a senior scientist
  • Distribute research grade islets to scientists researching type 1 diabetes
  • Improve, maintain, and update the islet database
  • Record disposal of islet preparations in accordance with HTA requirements
About the Team

The Oxford Islet Transplant Research Group is a leading centre for islet isolation and transplantation research. Our team has international standing and has made significant contributions to the field. We are funded by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and are committed to finding a cure for type 1 diabetes.
