We are seeking an ambitious, driven individual who thrives on delivering exceptional events. The Senior Event Manager will be dedicated, creative and ambitious, responsible for project managing international event programmes within our portfolios.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Operations Director to select suitable venues for the delivery of events and event agencies to build creative event concepts.
- Use task management tools to create and manage project scheduling and key milestones.
- Be responsible for ensuring that all events run smoothly either by attending on the day or by 'walking through' events.
- Deliver events in their entirety as and when required by the business.
- Ensure the fulfilment of all supplier requirements onsite, such as ensuring all Audio Visual (AV) equipment is in place, overseeing registration of guests, liaising with suppliers, ensuring show is run to time, troubleshoot/problem solve, remaining on site until close, coordinate rehearsal.
- Produce, brief, manage and deliver all AV specifications, such as booking, briefing and managing event suppliers such as AV, Graphics, Catering and stand builder.
- Collaborate with other departments within our company to advise on the event program, highlighting any potential issues.
- Oversee travel and hotel arrangements for staff, speakers and guests for relevant projects.
- Manage temporary and onsite staff for your project.
- Proof, approve, print and arrange delivery of all event marketing collateral.
- Organise signage and all event documentation.
- Book and manage talent for relevant projects.
- Sponsor liaison, including writing comprehensive operations manuals for sponsors and attending sponsor meetings.
- Travel internationally throughout the year.
- Excellent time management skills to manage multiple events, and hands-on event experience in Awards Ceremony and large-scale events.
- Be able to demonstrate and have experience of managing all staff on-site at events.
- Be willing to travel internationally, as an individual and work unsociable hours.
- IT literacy, specifically including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- International event management is desirable but not essential.
- 25 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays, increasing by one additional day after 6 years, up to a maximum of 30 days.
- An additional day of leave for you to take on a cultural celebration day or on your birthday if you like.
