Job Title: Senior Project Controller

Thales is seeking an experienced Senior Project Controller to join our Above Water Systems (AWS) team. As a Senior Project Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring strong project controls across the program and providing actionable information for Program Leadership and Senior Management decision making.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Controller to join our team and contribute to the success of our programmes. You will work closely with project managers, project planners, and financial accountants to ensure that all contracts within the program have a robust Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Performance Management Baseline (PMB), and strong financial control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing and operating advanced Project Control techniques, such as Earned Value Management and Schedule Risk Analysis
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders in complex environments and working across functional boundaries
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts for allocated projects and prospects portfolios
  • Defining and implementing appropriate KPIs to understand progress and provide insight into likely future performance
  • Using Project data to influence Project Leadership and Senior Management decision making and proactively mitigate risk
  • Implementing robust governance and project reporting frameworks
  • Managing the process of reviewing and updating actuals/forecasts each month

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced project controller who would like to broaden their experience into finance or an accountant wanting to gain more experience within project control. It would be advantageous to be ACCA or CIMA qualified, but this is not necessary. You will need to have a strong understanding of project controls and be able to work in a complex environment.

Security Clearance

This role will require SC Clearance. If you do not currently hold SC Clearance, you will be expected to undergo the clearance process.
