About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Child Disability Support Worker to join our team at a special school in Poole. The successful candidate will provide tailored support to students, ensuring they can achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive setting.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with disabilities, relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be compassionate, patient, and resilient, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to children with disabilities, adapting your approach to meet their individual needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personalised care and learning plans.
  • Support the physical, emotional, and educational development of children, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver comprehensive support.
  • Monitor and document child progress, providing feedback and making adjustments to support strategies as needed.
Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Updated CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
  • Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
