About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and organized Ward Clerk to join our team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide administrative support to patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of an excellent service and positive patient journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and professional administrative support to patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals.
- Organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operation of the ward.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical case notes.
- Coordinate and arrange transportation for patients, appointments, and discharges.
- Order office supplies and ward materials as required.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Good general education and administrative experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use own initiative and work independently.
- IT skills and experience of working with IT systems.
