About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Transactional Shared Services team at Head Office. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a key part in ensuring a smooth end-to-end sales process for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the end-to-end cash process and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Import cash processing reports onto SAP on a daily basis.
  • Communicate and document discrepancy and forgery reports.
  • Post debtors invoices and credit notes and allocate cash receipts to customer accounts.
  • Reconcile cash and card GLs on a monthly basis, involving writing off within a certain threshold and investigating outside of that threshold.
  • Post ad hoc journals when appropriate.
  • Monitor missing sales, escalate and resolve issues.
  • Upload fuel sales, shop sales and investigate any variances.
  • Escalate any issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Perform bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Conduct sales reconciliation.
  • Perform general administration and other ad-hoc duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable role, preferably in a Shared Services environment.
  • Excellent client and customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Strong academic record and experience in Finance.
  • Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial information to all levels of management.
  • Good interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet demanding deadlines and adapt style of communication depending on the audience and the nature of the information being communicated.
