At Devon Partnership NHS Trust, we are seeking a skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist/Therapist to join our team of mental health professionals. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to work in adult community mental health teams, providing psychological assessments, formulations, and therapies for adults with a broad range of mental health needs.

About the Job

This part-time (0.7 wte) permanent post will be worked as follows: 5 hours per week from home or at Crediton Hospital. We have a diverse and innovative team of psychologists, psychotherapists, and psychological therapists working closely alongside multidisciplinary colleagues. The role involves providing psychological assessments, formulations, and therapies, as well as supporting the psychologically informed practice of colleagues through supervision, advice, and consultation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Providing a psychology and psychological therapies service to people as a key component of services provided by Devon Partnership Trust.
  • Providing local clinical leadership, coordination, and supervision for trainees and volunteers employed by or attached to the service, under the general direction and supervision of the Professional Lead.
  • To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service/local team.
  • The post holder will receive regular professional and clinical supervision in accordance with Trust policy and to Professional Practice Guidelines set out by the British Psychological Society or appropriate designated Professional Body.
