Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students.

Job Role
  • HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)

We are unable to sponsor visas for this position.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time role, working 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, Monday to Friday. The role can be done as a job share.

Contract Type

This is a permanent contract.

Full-Time Equivalent Salary

The salary for this role is £27,803 - £31,508.

Key Skills and Experience

We are looking for an individual with the following skills and experience:

  • Trained in Read Write Inc
  • Effective use of ICT to support learning
  • The ability to motivate and nurture children
  • A commitment to raising achievement and standards
  • Interest in supporting the learning of children with SEN
  • Understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation
  • Basic understanding of child development and learning
  • Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults
  • Work constructively as part of a team, understand classroom roles and responsibilities
  • Willingness to undertake CPD/Training as appropriate
  • Able to prioritise their own workload, working accurately and to deadlines
  • Experience of working in a busy mainstream classroom
  • 5 GCSE's with a minimum of grade C or above in English and Mathematics, or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience
  • HLTA Status
  • Experience in planning/assessment/delivering activities
  • Experience of tracking interventions and monitoring impact of these
  • Understanding of Child Protection/Safeguarding in schools
