Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Autism Support Assistant to join our team at EdEx. As an Autism Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to pupils with ASD, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and inclusion staff to develop and implement tailored support plans.
- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social interaction and engagement among pupils.
- Use creative and imaginative approaches to engage pupils and promote their learning.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting pupils with ASD.
Requirements:
- Passion for education and creating an inspirational environment for all pupils to flourish.
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a special educational needs setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
