Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support children with Autism in a dynamic and supportive school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the classroom teacher to provide individualized support and create a positive learning experience for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality education to students with Autism.
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities to meet the needs of students with Autism.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Provide one-on-one support to children with Autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement strategies to support students with Autism.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience working within a classroom as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Knowledge: Understanding of Autism and supporting pupils accordingly.
- Desirable: Experience working with children in a school setting.
