Role Overview

The Digital Adviser will play a key role in supporting councils on their digital transformation journey within adult social care functions. The focus of the role is to provide expert guidance and support to councils, helping them to sustainably adopt digital technology that transforms health and wellbeing for their residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct support to councils, working closely with local areas and regions to identify and address digital transformation needs.
  • Contribute to the development of national strategy and policy, influencing key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Support the implementation of digital solutions, including the digital what good looks like programme, digital skills support offer for regulated professionals, and digitising and streamlining assessments.
  • Collaborate with national partners, such as the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS bodies, and other organisations, to drive digital transformation and improve health and wellbeing outcomes.

Requirements

  • Strong relationship and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and represent the views of local government.
  • Good facilitation skills, with the ability to work as part of a team to deliver digital transformation support to councils and regions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Working Arrangements

The post holder can choose to work from home or in our office in Westminster. There may be occasional travel to London or other locations in England.
