Job Overview

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a skilled Mechanical Craftsperson to join their team in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mechanical and electrical systems within the healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, as well as providing technical support to clinical departments.

Main Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Provide technical support to clinical departments
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Participate in on-call rota and undertake overtime when required

About Us

Requirements

  • HNC or HND or equivalent experience plus completion of a time-served apprenticeship
  • Full conversance with core trade, Mechanical and good working knowledge of associated trades, electrical and gas
  • Good understanding of asbestos awareness and full conversance in dealing with suspicious samples and working in the vicinity of asbestos products

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant HTM's, Gas Safe / Oftec registered
