Job Description: As an Indian Specialist Chef, you will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Your expertise in East Indian cuisine will be showcased through our menu offerings, ensuring that every dish is a masterpiece of flavors and aromas.

Responsibilities:

  • Estimate food costs, consumption, and inventory levels to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to the cooking staff, promoting innovation and excellence.
  • Create new recipes that showcase your culinary skills and creativity.
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events, such as banquets, with attention to detail and presentation.
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources.

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you must have 1-2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in an East Indian restaurant or culinary establishment. You should possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with kitchen management software and inventory control systems is an asset.
