Job Overview
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is committed to delivering outstanding care to our patients, and we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Healthcare Support Worker on our Overton Unit.
This is a challenging and rewarding role, which involves working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective care to patients who are medically fit and awaiting discharge. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the Band 7 roles in delivering high-quality care and ensuring the success of our Trust.
Main Duties
- Supporting the Band 7 roles in the delivery of high-quality care
- Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective care to patients
- Ensuring the success of our Trust through effective collaboration and communication
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- Able to demonstrate a good command of the English Language both written and verbal
- Professional UK registration e.g. NMC, HPC
- Post registration qualification(s) in the field of expertise
- Formal training &/or experience in mentorship
- Computer Literate
Desirable Criteria
- Member of relevant special interest group
- Communication skills learning and/or development
Experience & Knowledge
Essential Criteria
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD) clearly recorded for professional profile
- Experience of staff supervision including workforce budgets and staff development planning
- Experience of staff supervision and mentorship including, employee relations, performance, conduct and training needs analysis
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of project management for policy development or large scale projects
Skills & Ability
Essential Criteria
- Clinical Skills appropriate to the relevant speciality
- Ability to work and lead within a multidisciplinary team across an organisation
- Understanding of effective clinical governance including implications, quality and audit
Desirable Criteria
- Customer Service experience i.e. dealing with complaints
