High Voltage Development Specialist

We are seeking a High Voltage Development Specialist to join our team at SSE PLC. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Transition to Net Zero and shape the future of the high voltage electrical transmission network in the North of Scotland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Development phase of large capital projects, including complex AC substations, HVDC Converter stations, and cabling. Key skills and qualifications include:
- Experience in early development phases of large capital projects, preferably in the electrical generation/transmission sectors.
- Strong understanding of project management systems, risk management, and governance.
- Able to lead multi-discipline project teams and provide effective management of internal and external interfaces.
- Familiarity with NEC3 contracts and multi-contract delivery models.
This role offers a competitive salary of £55,200 - £83,000 per annum, plus car allowance, performance-related bonus, and benefits. We offer an excellent package, including 34 days annual leave entitlement, enhanced maternity/paternity leave, discounted healthcare, and more.
