Drive Innovation as an Electrical Network Optimization Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Network Optimization Specialist to join our team in outage coordination. As a key member of our transmission planning department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable operation of our high-voltage electricity transmission network across the north of Scotland.
About the Role:
- Develop and maintain complex mathematical models to simulate and optimize the performance of our high-voltage electricity transmission network.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance network efficiency and reliability.
- Design and implement network upgrades and modifications to meet growing demand and ensure a safe and reliable electricity supply.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and the National Grid Electricity System Operator to ensure seamless coordination and execution of projects.
Your Background:
- Degree level qualification in electrical engineering or a related field, although qualifications to HNC level in electrical engineering (minimum) with relevant background will be considered.
- Proven expertise in network optimization, preferably with experience in using tools like PSSE.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to drive innovation and improve network efficiency.
