**Job Overview:** General Manager Required for Central London Bookstore

We are a new independent bookstore located in the heart of Central London, seeking a General Manager to lead our team and drive business growth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, developing business strategies, and maintaining a unique and welcoming shopping environment.

About Us:

We are a small but vibrant independent bookstore dedicated to promoting literacy and a love of reading. Our mission is to provide high-quality products and services that inspire and engage readers of all ages.

Salary: £48,000 - £58,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role:

We are looking for a customer-focused and results-driven individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a proven track record of managing retail teams, achieving sales targets, and providing exceptional customer service. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field;
  • At least 3 years of retail management experience;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Knowledge of book retail industry trends and best practices.
