About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neonatal Nursery Nurse to join our dynamic team on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high standard of holistic family-centred care for neonates and their families.
  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate care of the neonate in conjunction with qualified nursing staff.
  • Support mothers with their infant feeding choices as per Trust Policies and the Breast Feeding Initiative.
  • Assist in clinical procedures under the supervision of qualified staff.
  • Liaise with the Family Care Team and Neonatal Outreach Team to support families, promote parent education, and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate records of all care given.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, relatives, carers, significant others, the multi-disciplinary team, and support services.
  • Ability to recognise a sick infant and initiate appropriate resuscitation.
  • Use information technology for the benefit of patient care in accordance with the Trust's Cyber Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information while being aware of the Freedom for Information Act.
