Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our warehouse, including inventory management, material handling, and facilities maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and respond to all incoming email enquiries from the Store mailbox.
  • Coordinate and book incoming deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of goods.
  • Prepare and organize pallets for dispatch, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Create and manage FedEx shipments, including international shipments of hazardous goods.
  • Sort and distribute post to site employees, maintaining a tidy and safe work environment.
  • Organize international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and maintaining accurate records.
  • Create and manage Purchase Orders in SAP and Coupa, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of supplies and materials.
  • Handle EDC returns efficiently, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Perform warehouse manual handling and operate forklifts as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock counts and maintaining accurate records.
  • Conduct regular audits of warehouse safety and cleanliness, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Cover for Mike during his absence, ensuring all his responsibilities are met.
  • Ensure timely replenishment of warehouse supplies, maintaining a tidy and safe work environment.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an organized and clean warehouse layout, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed, including regular fire drills and equipment testing.
  • Perform routine safety inspections and equipment testing, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to warehouse operations, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to meet customer expectations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of supplies and materials.

  • Manage the CMS Workshop, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Order uniforms for all Thermo and Unity employees, maintaining accurate records.
  • Perform Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) as required, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage cabale management to ensure a tidy and safe work environment, maintaining accurate records.
  • Serve as Fire Warden, conducting regular fire drills and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform weekly fire alarm testing, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Undertake small maintenance jobs around the site, including minor repairs, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage site clearance, waste management, and disposal, maintaining accurate records.
  • Perform weekly water tap flushing to maintain hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct weekly checks on fridges and freezers to ensure proper operation, maintaining accurate records.
  • Clean the backyard and jet wash emergency evacuation routes, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain outdoor areas, including lawns, gardens, parking lots, and walkways, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards on the mezzanine floor, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition, maintaining accurate records.
