Engineering Supervisor Opportunity
A leading manufacturer in the Cheshire area is seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join their team. This role offers a unique chance to manage and oversee a team of engineers across maintenance and projects, providing a platform for growth and development.
As an Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of engineers, ensuring the smooth operation of maintenance and project activities. Your hands-on experience and leadership skills will be essential in driving the team's performance and implementing improvements in processes and machine output.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement proactive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Lead the team in reactive breakdown management, ensuring prompt response and resolution of electrical and mechanical faults.
- Collaborate with engineers to create and implement development and progression plans, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate daily engineering meetings to discuss performance, ongoing work, and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with the team to identify and implement improvements in processes and machine output, driving efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure adherence to site Health & Safety rules and legislation, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
- Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject.
- Proven experience working in a senior level role as engineering shift manager, engineering supervisor, or engineering team leader, ideally in a similar industry.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
