Cybersecurity Lead

Join GE Vernova's team of experts in delivering the Green Energy transition by taking on the role of Lead Cyber Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining the substation LAN Networks and ensuring Cybersecurity compliance for the HVDC Substation Automation Systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement secure networks and communication architectures for the HVDC Control System, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all cybersecurity and networking-related matters within project environments.
- Collaborate with Tendering teams to ensure cybersecurity and networking requirements are met for various customers.
- Stay up-to-date with a range of cybersecurity regulations, including EU NIS, NERC, and BDES, and ensure compliance.
- Develop and maintain Secure Deployment Guides for the HVDC Control System and 3rd party system interfaces.
- Oversee the implementation of Security Assurance Plans across all relevant project stakeholders.
- Document technical data generated for assigned projects and tasks, adhering to engineering policies and procedures.
- Map requirements between different cybersecurity standards and analyze various solutions.
- Present justifications for solutions, analysis, and evaluations to customers and technical audiences.
- Build functional infrastructure from the ground up, including networking, virtualization, and server operating system configuration.
- Monitor vulnerability publications and participate in the patch management process to correct vulnerabilities.
- Lead the design, configuration, and testing required to deliver projects on time and within defined budgets.
- Oversee the testing and FAT witnessing of the Control System.
- Assist with site activities related to the installation and commissioning of the control system LAN network.
- Lead Network & Cybersecurity Engineer requirements.
- Degree in Electronics / Electrical engineering or related field.
- Demonstrated background in Networking & Cybersecurity fields.
- Knowledge of industrial communication networks, such as IEC61850 and Ethernet-based protocols.
- Experience relevant to electrical power systems and Substation automation engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects.
- Established project management skills.
