Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert dental care to referred children with high treatment needs or special care requirements.
  • Deliver dental care to adults with disabilities and special needs, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction and care.
  • Participate in epidemiology and screening programs in schools, nurseries, and special care groups, contributing to the improvement of oral health outcomes.
  • Contribute to oral health promotion programs and dental public health activities, promoting healthy habits and education to patients and communities.
  • Manage the dental surgery to ensure safe, effective, and efficient delivery of services, adhering to relevant standards and guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and carers, taking into account differences in language, ability, and culture.
Requirements
  • BDS degree and full GDC registration.
  • Eligibility for Performers List.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) related to Community Dental Service care.
  • Desirable: VT/FT or equivalent qualification.

  • Enthusiasm, drive, and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with colleagues and work effectively in a team environment.
