Job Overview

The successful candidate will have the chance to develop their skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic environment. As a Dental Nurse Trainee, you will be responsible for providing chair-side support within the dental hospital, working across various departments and specialties.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced dental nurses, gaining valuable experience and developing your clinical and theoretical skills. Upon completion of the Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing (City & Guilds), you will be eligible to register with the General Dental Council, further enhancing your career prospects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide chair-side support during dental procedures
  • Assist in maintaining dental instruments and reporting any repairs needed
  • Record accurately as directed by the operator
  • Mix dental materials according to manufacturer's instructions
  • Demonstrate oral hygiene techniques to patients

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the efficient running of the dental clinic, assisting members of the dental team during clinical procedures.

Requirements
  • GCSE English Language Level 4 and above or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the role of a dental nurse
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail in written work
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting

About the Role

This is a fixed-term contract for 18 months, with the possibility of extension or permanent employment upon successful completion of the training program. You will be employed for 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
