Senior Applied Scientist

Amazon Advertising is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to lead the development of machine learning and data science initiatives for contextual advertising solutions. As a key member of our team, you will design, prototype, and test hypotheses in a high-ambiguity environment, leveraging analysis and business judgment to drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate successful experiments into large-scale Amazon production systems.
- Promote a culture of experimentation and applied science at Amazon.
- Develop and implement machine learning models for business applications.
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in machine learning and data science.
About the Team:
The Supply Quality organization is responsible for solving optimization problems for ad-programs in Amazon and ensuring high-quality ad-impressions. We develop advanced algorithms and infrastructure systems to optimize performance for our advertisers and publishers. Our team includes experts in distributed computing, machine learning, statistics, optimization, text mining, information theory, and big data systems.
Requirements:
PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field. Experience with neural deep learning methods, machine learning, and large-scale distributed systems. Strong programming skills in Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
