At BIMTek Engineering Consultants, we're seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team in the South West of England. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering innovative technical solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Project Lead Engineer in ensuring the successful delivery of robust technical solutions.
- Develop accurate and structured 3D models and 2D drawings from engineers' calculations, rough sketches, or drawings.
- Visit sites as required to gain practical experience of installation practices and apply them to improve design effectiveness.
- Assist in maintaining data models and documents, ensuring accuracy and updating drawings/models held on file.
- Enhance company knowledge by understanding project processes from feasibility to completion.
- Communicate effectively with the department and wider construction team.
- HNC/HND in a relevant engineering field (mechanical, electrical, civil).
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and ability to work independently using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Mechanical & electrical or structural design experience desired but not essential.
- Experience in the water/wastewater sector.
- Highly computer literate.
- Aware of the latest developments with BIM and modelling in a CDE (common data environment).
- Full-time position with on-site parking.
- Hybrid remote work arrangement in Midsomer Norton.
