Key Responsibilities:- Lead Statutory Audits: Prepare and review financial statements for limited companies, ensuring high-quality preparation and review of financial statements.
- Conduct Audits: Conduct audits of accounts following International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), taking ownership of audit files and providing technical support to clients and junior staff.
- Client Collaboration: Collaborate closely with clients to ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.
- Tax Computations: Prepare corporation tax computations, including detailed analysis of tax items.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide trainees, fostering their professional development and addressing knowledge gaps.
- Technical Support: Provide direct support to Client Managers and Directors by offering technical expertise and insights.
- Staying Current: Stay current with legislative changes and updates in accounting and auditing standards.
- Qualifications: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with strong audit and accounts experience.
- Experience: Previous experience working in an accountancy practice, conducting UK company audits, and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Skills: Familiarity with accounting software such as SAGE, Xero, QuickBooks, and Kashflow, strong attention to detail and analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, confidence in building and managing professional client relationships, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
