Job Summary

HM Revenue and Customs is seeking a highly skilled Major Incident Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Service Management & Operations (SM&O) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the availability and quality of our IT services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and direct major incident resolution activities to minimize service disruption and ensure timely restoration.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication strategies to inform stakeholders of incident status and progress.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements to prevent future incidents.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure successful incident resolution and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing major incidents in a large, complex IT environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of IT service management principles and practices, including ITIL.
