Job Description: Liquid Waste Removal Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Liquid Waste Removal Specialist. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for attending emergency call-outs, working on private and public land, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Drive and operate specialist jetting tankers, including Super Suction Jetting Tankers and Combination Jetting Tankers.
  2. Attend emergency call-out situations related to sewer blockages, flooding, and pollution.
  3. Work on private and public land in accordance with statutory health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  4. Conduct vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift.
  5. Document all jobs accurately.
  6. Report any defects, accidents, or near misses to the line manager immediately.
  7. Maintain the driver's log book in compliance with MOT rules and procedures.
  8. Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) remains fit for purpose.

Requirements
  • Class 2 driving license and CPC qualification.
  • Ability to work within controlled guidelines and environmental regulations.
  • Good communication skills to deal with the public effectively.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and receive instructions remotely.
  • Prior experience working with liquid waste products in the water utility/environmental services sector is desirable.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices in streetworks is preferred.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working outdoors and may require long hours, including night shifts and weekends.


Salary:£38,000 per annum.
