Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and empathetic healthcare support assistant to join our person-centred care team at Ann's Care Homes. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their dignity and autonomy are respected at all times.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a unique blend of compassion, communication skills, and technical knowledge. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver effective care plans, promote resident independence, and create a positive living environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily tasks and activities, such as personal care, mobility support, and medication administration
  • Monitor resident wellbeing, identifying and reporting any changes or concerns to senior staff
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Participate in ward meetings and contribute to improving care quality and services

Skills and Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English qualifications
  • Basic IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred but not essential; willingness to learn and develop your skills is highly valued
  • Availability to work a flexible shift pattern, including evenings and weekends
