About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEMHA Support Worker to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a SEMHA Support Worker, you will work closely with children with special education needs, providing individualized support and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to children with SEMH needs in a KS2 classroom setting
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Support children with ASD, ADHD, and behavioral needs
- Assist with lesson planning and implementation, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive team
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with special education needs, particularly in KS2
- Knowledge of SEMH and its impact on children's learning and behavior
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Empathetic and patient approach, with a commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
